I think it is safe to say that I am a techie. Technology has been a big part of my life even way back in the Atari days. That is why I was floored to have the opportunity to try the new Microsoft Windows Phone 8. Clearly Windows is making a push to appeal to artsy types because I was captivated by their ad campaign and couldn’t wait to try it out for myself. I was really interested in learning about the live tiles and being able to personalize my screen, something my past phone was not really able to do.
Once my Windows Phone 8 arrived I was excited to see that it was my favorite color, cobalt blue! I could not wait to get started and jumped right in downloading apps and organizing my start screen. I love that you can pin not only apps you can also pin your favorite web pages, photos, contacts, and more. My favorite tile is photos of Baybah. It is a live tile so the photos of him rotate without me even having to click a button.
You can choose the size of your tiles, too. Use the smallest option to fit more, or make them middle-sized or panoramic to really see the live tiles in action. A theme color can also be selected to show up all around your phone and on certain tiles, and a background color of either white or black. The tiles can also be arranged in whatever order you feel is important. Total personalization is the hallmark of this phone.
Life is busy, we all find ways to make the most out of our time.
The new Windows Phone is reinvented around you including features like Live Tiles, Live Apps, Kid’s Corner, and SkyDrive, making it easy for you to personalize your phone how you want it. Now it is easier than ever to stay in touch with what matters most.
