I was provided a free trial of the Jenny Craig program and meals. However, the opinions expressed are entirely my own. *Results not typical. Members following Jenny Craig can expect to lose, on average 1-2 lbs per week. I received promotional consideration.
I just finished my 8th week following Jenny Craig and I am excited to say that I have lost 14 pounds and 7 inches!! Yes, 7 inches!! I have more energy, my clothes are fitting better, and I am making healthier choices that not only have affected me, but also my family. After years of struggling to even get started on my weight loss journey (again), I finally feel like I can do this!
My Jenny Craig consultant Kacie has been a huge help. Being able to talk to her each week about my success and struggles has really helped hold me accountable and keep me going. It is not like other programs I have been on where there is no support, or there is a group meeting with an instructor that does not even know your name. I can tell that Kacie cares and truly wants to see me succeed.
Each week she gives me tips to help me stay on plan during any special events coming up. The past couple of weeks we have talked about Halloween, because I know how it can be a struggle for me to stay on program during that time. Below are some Halloween Tips that she gave me from Jenny Craig to help me enjoy my favorite holiday, but then get right back on track following the program.
Tips To Help Avoid Halloween Weight Gain
- Buy Candy You Don’t Love – Wait until the last minute to buy goodies, and select your least favorite kinds.
- Count the Candy Wrappers Because Bite Size Candy Add Up Quickly– Keep the wrappers in view and it will remind you of how many you are and hopefully inspire you to stop after one or two.
- Pumpkin By the Pound– Weigh your pumpkin before taking it home and carry it for a few minutes. Think of how heavy that pumpkin is and how much weight you have lost. You may be holding the weight you can lose in one month!
- Once Halloween is Over, Get All of the Treats Out Of The House– Donate all the leftover candy to a shelter or blood bank.
Do you have any tips to help get you through Halloween when you are trying to lose weight?
I still have a long way to go, but I am choosing to focus on all of the positive changes that I have and continue to make. Below is a picture from my 1st week and my 8th week. I wanted to wear the same outfit so I could see my progress so far. I can definitely see changes in my face and in my waist.
