I am so excited to be a PBS Kids VIP (Very Involved Parent) ambassador again this year! As an ambassador, we get to see early screenings of new PBS Kids programs and share with you new and exciting news about their amazing programming for kids. This month I am excited to announce the launch of their new show, Ready Jet Go set to premier on MONDAY, February 15th!
Ready Jet Go!, created by Craig Bartlett (Dinosaur Train), is designed for kids ages 3-8 and focuses on astronomy, technology, scientific exploration, innovation and invention. Your kids will follow along as Jet Propulsion, a new kid in town who also happens to be an alien from outer space, and earth friends Sean and Sydney, explore the solar system. Their astronomical adventures will teach them about the solar system and our planet all while learning about friendship and teamwork along the way. Ready Jet Go! also features live-action interstitials with Jet Propulsion Laboratory astrophysicist Dr. Amy Mainzer who is also a science curriculum consultant for the series!
The overarching goal of READY JET GO! is to spark children’s inherent excitement about science, technology and astronomy, telling stories that feature characters learning about space in a way that appeals to, and is accessible by, young children. The comedy and music help kids learn a variety of physical science concepts, such as gravity, tides and moon phases. At the heart of every episode is a basic, kid-friendly question about outer space or Earth science. In the show, the characters often use a scientific method to find the answers to their questions.
My two year old is already obsessed with the Ready Jet Go! videos that are streaming on the PBS Kids App. I love the fact that she is watching a female role model that is sharing her love for science during the interstitials with Dr. Amy Mainzer. My 6 year old loves science, and Ready Jet Go! makes his wonder and excitement even stronger. The catchy tunes make learning about science lots of fun.
Explore the universe with Ready Jet Go! and PBS Kids!
Watch the premier of Ready Jet Go! on Monday, February 15th on PBS Kids (check your local listings for showtime). The episodes will continue to roll out throughout the month, totaling 12 11-minute stories by January 29, the most full-length video content PBS KIDS has ever released in advance of a broadcast premiere. The videos are available for free on pbskids.org, the PBS KIDS Video App and PBS KIDS Video on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox One, YouTube and Chromecast.

Our neighbor’s kid (1st grade) was telling us about it the other day. He’s so excited for it to start!
PBS Kids has had some great shows through the years. This one sounds like a show my son would love.
I love that there are more and more shows about science. It’s a great way to get kids interested in learning more!
Those are tricky concepts but brought down to a child’s perspective would be so interesting! I love this show concept.
This looks like a cute show! My boys will love it!
I really love PBS Kids, they have a wide range of fun but educational shows for kids. My kids have outgrown the shows, but sometimes I can get them to watch this with me. Thanks for sharing about this show!
