PMD-Personal Microderm Tool Available at Best Buy

February 28, 2012 by Lauren Leave a Comment

Now that I am in my 30’s I have definitely noticed some signs of aging on my skin.  I am all for growing old gracefully, but I would love to slow down the signs of aging if I can.   During a recent visit to get a facial, I asked the esthetician if she could recommend anything that I could do to help lighten the appearance of lines and my acne scars.  She immediately said microdermabrasion because it gradually exfoliates the skin reducing the signs of aging.  Well, I have have not been able to give it a try until recently using the PMD-Personal Microderm Tool, and so far I am loving the results.

The PMD Personal Microderm Tool is a home microdermabrasion tool that can be used once a week for smoother younger looking skin. It smoothes out your skin by the vacuum action and exfoliating to help remove a thin layer of dead skin leaving you with soft skin underneath.

The PMD-Personal Microderm Tool includes:

  • Reusable filter, power cord
  • 2 green and 3 blue exfoliating discs
  • Instructional CD and pamphlet
  • PMD Home Microderm Abrasion Device

Before you use your tool, first test your skin type to see how your skin responds.  Next select which disc you would like to use.  The blue disc has moderate grit and is for sensitive skin and for the face.  The green disc has course grit and is to be use for aggressive treatment or tougher types of skin.  Use the large discs are for big areas of your body, and the small discs are for small areas like the area around your nose.  Attach the disc that you would like to use to the Microderm tool and attach the cap.  Then you are ready to go!

Make sure your face is clean and dry before you begin using the Personal Microderm Tool.  Begin the treatment by pulling your skin tight with your fingers to create a smooth surface.  This allows the too to bring the blood flow and collagen to the skin. Move the disc across and upward on your face.  The skin around your eyes are sensitive, so never go above the cheekbone or below your eyebrow.  As you do this skin cells will come off and your skin might appear slightly pink.  Complete your entire face.  Once you are done wash your face again and apply toner.  This will neutralize the pH balance of  your skin and prepare it for the recovery moisturizer.

*Skin is sensitive for 3-4 day from use, so wear sunscreen to help protect it. Also wait 5-6 days until your next treatment.

I thought the Personal Microderm Tool was surprisingly easy to use.  The instructional dvd that came with the product was very helpful at explaining exactly how to use it.  As I used the Microderm Tool I felt a slight pull on my skin but it did not hurt, that was just the tool working.  I had slight redness when I first used the tool but it quickly disappeared.   I think I am going to have to use it for a couple of months before I notice if my acne scars or fine lines start to fade, but when I was done, my skin felt so renewed and soft.  I plan on continuing the treatment to see

Use the PMD-Personal Microderm tool to help improve the texture of your skin, fade age spots, make fine lines and wrinkles disappear, and make acne scars less noticeable. Renew, restore, and rejuvenate your skin.

The PMD- Personal Microderm tool is available for purchase at Best Buy for $179.99.

Disclosure: I have received the reviewed product from Best Buy for free for the purpose of review.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This looks like a wonderful product, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend $179.99 for it. Seems like beauty related items are becoming expensive nowadays.
