December 10, 2015 by Lauren 40 Comments

Are you looking for a last minute handmade gift idea for your friends or kids teachers?  My Sugar Cookie Scrub is easy to make, smells great, and will give their winter skin a glow!

Sugar Cookie Scrub Recipe | Last Minute Handmade Gift

Sugar Cookie Scrub

½ C. coconut oil
½ C. brown sugar (add more if you want to make the scrub more grainy)
½ C. white sugar (same as above, add more if you want the scrub to be more grainy)
1 tsp. vanilla
small mason jars (jars that are shorter are easier to use in the bath or shower, I found them at Michaels or you can get them from Amazon)

I absolutely love sugar scrubs! I never would have thought of using splenda instead of white granulated sugar! I am assuming by using the splenda it would make for a softer scrub that isn’t so rough on your skin.

Did you warm your coconut oil to liquefy it so it easy to mix? Mine came out looking a lot darker than your photo? Did you add more white sugar then the recipe says to lighten the color?
