Dreyer’s Wicked Witch Ice Cream

September 12, 2014 by Lauren 26 Comments

This blog post is part of a paid The Motherhood and Dreyer’s blogging program. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.

Looking for a fun chocolatey cool and minty treat for Halloween?  This wicked witch will get your kids screaming for more.   To make our Wicked Witch we used my favorite ice cream, Dreyer’s Mint Chocolate Chip.  The green color is the perfect choice for her spooky face giving it that extra creepy look.  Your little goblins will gobble it up fast!

Author: Lolo
Prep time:  5 mins
Total time:  5 mins

Ingredients
  • Dreyer's Mint Chocolate Chip
  • Chocolate Sugar cones or sugar cones covered with chocolate syrup
  • chocolate syrup
  • candy corn
  • mini m&m's
Instructions
  1. Scoop out ice cream onto a plate. Add some chocolate syrup down the side for hair. Add the sugar cone for a hat. Add mini m&m's for the eyes and candy corn for the nose. I found round green candy and added those as a warts onto the the candy corn with corn syrup.

Hurry and eat it because she is melting!

After going to 3 grocery stores, I gave up on finding chocolate sugar cones so I covered them with chocolate syrup before I started putting the witches together.  This worked out great to give our witch the perfect hat.  I hope your kiddos love the Wicked Witch Ice Cream as much as mine did.

I have never seen ice cream cones dipped in chocolate. Did you purchase them like that or did you dip them in chocolate?
