Send a Sundae in a Box

September 2, 2013 by Chickie Leave a Comment

This year my sweet nephew, Baybah started school for the first time ever! He’s been taking his new job of school very seriously and is so excited about school. As a former teacher I’m so proud that he’s so into school. If I lived near him I would have loved to have taken him out for a special one-on-one ice cream treat so he could tell me all about his first week. Tear. But since I’m across the country I decided why not send him a Sundae in a Box!

DIY: Send a Sundae in a Box

Sundae in a Box Contents:

Variation of ice cream cones
Clear treat baggies
Fun stickers
Rubber cement
Card stock
Gummy bears
Cherries
Chocolate syrup
Caramel syrup
Sprinkles
Caramel drops
Chocolate chips
M&M’s
Mini Oreos
Bowl

#DIY: Sundae in a Box

To make the box look more exciting I used rubber cement and colored card stock to cover the interior of the box. I then took all the ingredients out of all the original package to make it more cohesive and easier to see. Placing each ingredient in a clear baggy sealed with a ice cream cone sticker. I then added a lined shoe box for the cones so they could be displayed lovingly without getting crushed from the other ingredients.

Last add a little note to your recipient with the important line -Just add ice cream-

This is sent to someones home, not to school. My sister sent it to my son to celebrate his first week of school.
