Cox Contour | TV Just for Me and the Entire Family

November 16, 2014 by Lauren 37 Comments

I am a member of Everywhere Society and a Cox Communications’ brand ambassador reviewing Contour by Cox. Everywhere and Cox Communications have provided me with compensation and a trial of Contour in exchange for my coverage of this product. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed herein are my own.

We have had a couple of weeks now to review Contour by Cox Communications and it really is TV just for me. Or I should I say, TV just for me, TV just for my husband, and TV just for my son.

Cox Contour | TV Just for Me

With a click of the remote you can change the user to get shows recommended for each member of the family (up to 8 profiles) based on what they like to watch.  When we switch the user to DAD,  Cox recommends sports, sci-fi, comedy, and news shows just for him.  When we switch the user to MOM, Cox recommends Reality TV, drama, and home improvement shows.  When we change the user to KIDS, Cox recommends cartoons and children’s programing.   This makes the choices we make seamless and easy.  We just look for the green diamonds and we have a show recommended just for us!

There are so many other amazing features, but I would have to say that the Contour App (available for android and iOS) is one of our favorites.  It lets you watch over 90 channels of live TV or tens of thousands On DEMAND titles anywhere in your home.  My husband is the chef of the house and loves now being being able to watch live TV on our iPad while he is cooking.  I love being able to snuggle up on the couch with my son while he watches a Star Wars Lego show On DEMAND on our iPad while my husband and I watch a show on TV.  Everyone is happy and we are all together!

Another one of our favorite features is being able to connect to our Pandora account through the Contour guide.  We love listening to music, and now our playlist is endless.  With a couple simple steps we were able to connect to our Pandora account to listen to the music we love.  And with the holiday season quickly approaching, it will be so fun to have our Pandora radio playing in the background when we have guests over.  Indi Holidays Radio is our favorite.

Those are just some of the reasons why we love Contour from Cox and know you will, too.

Getting Set up:

Getting set up with Contour from Cox was a breeze.  We just called Cox to have a rep come out to install the new boxes.  He arrived on time and was polite and extremely helpful.  It took him about 30 minutes to install 3 boxes and he took the time to answer questions that we had about our new service.  He also programmed the remotes for us making it easy to use the contour features on all 3 of our tv’s.

Talk to a Cox representative to get the whole Contour experience today!
