Yummy Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

January 14, 2013 by Lauren 29 Comments

 chocolate peanut butter smoothie

I am working hard at getting fit and healthy, but there are times when I really need some chocolatey goodness.  I figured out a way to combine 3 of my favorite ingredients (bananas, chocolate, and peanut butter) into a healthy smoothie that helps satisfy my chocolate craving without feeling guilty.  My Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Recipe is easy to make in the morning for a healthy breakfast on the go or an after dinner treat.  To save some calories, I used Silk Pure Almond Dark Chocolate instead of 1% dairy chocolate milk to save a total of 40 calories.  I hope you enjoy this thick, rich, and satisfying smoothie.

I love smoothies! I usually make mine with the coconut milk (unsweetened) and they’re delicious and the milk is only about 40 calories per cup!

I put powdered peanut butter in my smoothies. It still has the taste and protein… just a lot less calories.

There is nothing I love more than peanut butter, except when it’s combined with chocolate. This looks outstanding!

back in high school I remember the coach telling the kids to have peanut butter and banana sandwiches to help bulk them up . With the amount of carbs in that and sodium I’m not sure thats on the healthy side but it sure sounds and looks delicious
