3 Tips for a Great Smile this Valentine’s Day

February 12, 2014 by Lauren 47 Comments

This post is part of the HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® 2014 program by Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. and The Motherhood, who sent me a box of products and compensated me for my time. Opinions, experiences and photos shared here are all my own, and I hope you enjoy them.

I remember the first time I saw my husband, it was in math class freshman year in college.  I thought he was cute, but then he smiled and I knew he was the one.  There is just something special about someone’s true and genuine smile, especially when it is aimed at you.

Valentine’s Day is coming up and what better way to tell someone you love them then with a gift that does not cost a thing, your smile.  Here are my 3 tips for a great smile and kissable lips for your Valentine.

3 Tips For a Great Smile

3 Tips for a Great Smile

1. Take care of your teeth

Brush at least twice a day.
Floss.
Replace your toothbrush every 2-3 months or sooner if you are sick.
See your dentist regularly for checkups.
Eat a healthy diet.

On Valentine’s Day and every day, make your smile a dazzling asset. I just started using REMBRANDT® DEEPLY WHITE® + Peroxide Fresh Mint Toothpaste.  So far it is working great!  It removes surface stains and deeply penetrates to visibly whiten teeth inside and out, all while restoring enamel. In fact, it uses the same enamel-safe whitening ingredient that dentists use. That’s something to smile about!

3 Tips for a Great Smile

2. Use mouthwash

Mouthwash helps freshen breath and protects against plaque and gingivitis.

This is our go to mouthwash.  Freshen your breath and get ready for your close-up, whether it’s a romantic rendezvous with your love or a Valentine’s Day kiss, with LISTERINE® ULTRACLEAN® ARCTIC MINT. It’s the only leading mouthwash with an anti-tartar ingredient and new EVERFRESH™ Technology for a dentist clean feeling that lasts up to three times longer versus brushing alone.

Get a printable coupon for $1 off a variety of LISTERINE® products at at HealthyEssentials.com.

3 Tips for a Great Smile

3. Moisturize your lips

Stay hydrated by drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day to help moisturize your lips and your skin.
Use a humidifier to combat dry indoor air.
Moisturize your lips with gloss.

Get kissable lips, thanks to NEUTROGENA® MoistureSmooth Color Sticks – which instantly moisturize lips while continuously conditioning them, so they are softer and smoother in just 3 days with nothing on them. Made with fruit extracts along with mango and shea butter, the balm-like formula glides on easily, providing a sheer wash of moisturizing color that lasts for hours. I love the way it makes my lips look and feel!

Get a printable coupon for $1 off any NEUTROGENA® Cosmetics product at HealthyEssentials.com.

These 3 things will help give you a winning combination for a great smile and kissable lips this Valentine’s Day!  I wish you and your Valentine many smiles for years to come!

We invested in a UV light cleaner for our toothbrush heads (we use a sonicare) and it’s so great when we’re sick, instead of having to replace and throw it away, we can sanitize it that way!
